Paris, May 26th 2009 -- It gives Jetmobile great pleasure to introduce SecureJet 6.0. This version completely revolutionizes the way SecureJet functions by simplifying the administration of the software. The new administration software and other new features are described below:
New SecureJet Admin Software: to install, license, and configure the SecureJet modules.
This software replaces the SecureJet Batch Admin software. The SecureJet Batch Admin software and documentation is still available upon request. SecureJet Admin software is a Web-based central administration application that provides a user-friendly interface through which the SecureJet solution can be deployed, licensed, configured, and managed on a fleet of printers/MFPs. It is available in the following languages:

It provides the following new functionality:
The new licensing module of SecureJet simplifies the license management process.
In previous versions of the SecureJet software, each printer/MFP required its own hardware license token or license file. If a printer/MFP was replaced, the token had to be moved from one device to the other or a new license file had to be created.
In the new system, one license file can contain multiple license tokens that can be assigned to any printer/MFP. These license files are uploaded by the SecureJet Admin software and automatically deployed to printers/MFPs when they are synchronized with the SecureJet configuration. In addition, it is now possible to use the SecureJet software for seven days without a license.
This allows for the software to be used in brief trials and while awaiting the final licenses
The list of print jobs appears much faster than in previous versions.
In SecureJet 5.3, the enrollment database could not be modified directly. A user had to unenroll to be removed from the database, or unenroll and re-enroll to modify an attribute of the enrollment database.
In SecureJet 6 the enrollment database can be modified directly by an administrator using the SecureJet Enrollment Manager application, which is installed with the SecureJet Print-PS software. The module allows the administrator to edit and delete users in the enrollment database. Thus, an administrator can unenroll a user without the user being present or without having the user’s card—situations that may occur should employees lose their cards or leave the company without unenrolling.
It is now possible to use direct USB smart card readers on USB-capable MFP devices. Users can identify and authenticate using their supported PKI smart card. Smart card profiles can be created in the SecureJet Admin Software to determine the degree of security applied (such as certificate validation using specific CA and CRL files).
