PIN Code Authentication for HP Printers, MFPs, and Digital Senders
Users can now authenticate on HP LaserJet printers, Multi-Function Printers (MFPs), and Digital Senders by entering a simple PIN code on the front panel touch screen or built-in keypad. Once authenticated, users gain access to device functions such as email, fax, copy, scan, or secure mobile printing.
Access Control for Any MFP Function
- Secure any or all MFP functions to suit your needs: fax, e-mail, copy, print jobs, scan to folder, job tracking, etc.
- Determine which user information should be retrieved and used for MFP functions (e.g. e-mail address for the Send to E-mail function).
- Limit the extent to which your employees can use MFP functions.
Card-Free System
- No additional equipment is needed—users simply enter a PIN code to release their print jobs and access device functions.
Automatic PIN Code Generation
- SecureJet can extract user lists from LDAP and Active Directory databases, generate random PIN codes, and email them to end-users.
Simple Foolproof User Identification
- Authenticate without typing long logins and passwords (with an alternate authentication method as a backup).
- Choose the user validation method adapted to your needs:
- Validation through a local ID list loaded on devices
- Validation through an Authentication Gateway (SecureJet Print-PS feature)
- Validation through LDAP/AD
Billback Capability
- Simplify billing by using SecureJet’s billback functionality. All walkup activities can be charged to a client or project using the billing codes created and managed by the SecureJet software.
Secure & Mobile Printing
- Add encryption to the controlled release capabilites by combining SecureJet Enterprise Auth-FP with SecureJet Enterprise Secure Mobile Printing.
- Authenticate and retrieve print jobs from any SecureJet-enabled printer or MFP in the workgroup using the SecureJet Print-SMP and Print-PS modules.
